We would love to have you participate in Arthur’s events. Each event will have specific guidelines and registration forms. The following are general rules that will apply to all events.
BOOTHS: BOOTH FEES ARE NONREFUNDABLE.
BOOTHS MUST BE MANNED AT ALL TIMES. Festival hours will be fully described in your confirmation letter. All booths must be free standing, no stakes. Booths and merchandise may remain in place overnight at your own risk.
SPACE ASSIGNMENTS: Booth spaces will be assigned in the order paid in full applications and deposit checks are received. We Reserve The Right To Assign Booth Space At Our Discretion. All spaces will be assigned in advance and a confirmation letter will be mailed, after your booth fee & deposit checks have been received, a couple weeks prior to the festival.
SET-UP: Allow yourself plenty of time, as we have many other vendors at some of our events. Setting up the night before the festival begins is permitted & encouraged. Your confirmation letter will fully describe setup times. Please unload and remove your vehicles promptly, so other vendors may set up also. Vehicles may not remain in festival area. Each day you may transport supplies by vehicle into the festival area. Your vehicle must be out of the festival area by 8 am. Setting up on the first day of the festival is also permitted, with the following guidelines: Arrive early, giving yourself plenty of time to set up and remove your vehicle prior to the festival opening time You must unload your displays & products and MOVE your vehicle out of the festival area by 8 am.
ELECTRIC & WATER We offer standard connections. You are responsible for ALL electrical hookups. If you need to rewire YOUR plug ends we have a hardware store downtown that can provide any necessary plug ends. Water sources are available. Hoses and connections for water hookups is YOUR responsibility. ALL power cords and water hoses must be secured and out of the way of causing an accident. If your supply line cross walkway or pedestrian lane they must be taped down and well marked with preferably fluorescent tape to avoid tripping hazards.The water & electric locations will be marked on your confirmation festival map.
PARKING: Parking lots will be marked on the festival map you will receive with your confirmation. All vehicles must be out of the vendor area during festival hours. No parking in alleys, the police will tow and give you a ticket.
OUTSIDE FESTIVAL: With the exception of special spaces in the Gazebo Annex and Inside of Knights Court on Vine St, All spaces are outside and located in the downtown area of Arthur. Vine Street is the main street for festivals but some events also includes the side streets of Illinois St, Walnut St, and Progress Streets. The festival will be held, rain or shine. No Refunds.
TRASH DISPOSAL: Arthur takes pride in offering clean, family events. Please supervise your booth space for trash during the festivals. Trash dumpsters are located at the edges of the festival areas for vendor’s trash. They will be marked on the festival map. All Boxes Are To Be Broken Down Flat & Taken To The Dumpster Closest To Your Booth. Do not use the trash totes or stone trash containers on the street inside the Festival area. They are for the festival visitors.
OTHER INFORMATION: All vendors are required to have a Sales Tax number on file. Health Department Permit contact information will be supplied on request.. Emergency staff will be available for medical emergencies, contact with the Visitor’s Center at 217-543-2242. Please obey all detours and watch for pedestrians. Alcohol is NOT permitted at booths anytime during the festivals. Anyone not complying with ALL rules will be asked to leave and will not be invited back. Security will be provided by the local police force throughout the event.
CLOSING INFORMATION: Vehicles are not allowed in the festival area prior to the stated closing time. Bringing your vehicle into the festival area without express permission may be cause for eviction without refund and will cause you to be placed in fringe locations or not invited at future events. Closing your booth before stated closing times will also cause you to be placed in fringe locations at future events.
