Arthur itself has a wonderful park system with plenty of open space, multiple ball diamonds, a community swimming pool, pavillions, tennis courts, and RV hookups and tent camping space in or community parks during most of the year. Specific camping exceptions are during the Arthur Fireworks Freedom Celebration and the Moultrie-Douglas County Fair, both in July. Otherwise space is generally first come available.
