The area around Arthur is a very delightful and enjoyable place to visit. It is a very unique region that, as a result of its large Amish population, still retains much of the culture, customs, language and the ambiance of 150 years ago.

Some of the many things to enjoy while you are in the Arthur Amish area include sightseeing, specialty shopping, cultural enlightenment, good food, and many special events.
Many visitors first think of our area for the Amish the reside around Arthur and for many of their specialty products available in our area. While here you can learn more about their Amish lifestyle while driving around the countryside (sightseeing), possibly listening to an educational CD or live tour guide, or visiting the countryside shops. For a more in depth cultural experience you may wish to join a traditional meal on an Amish farm.
Arthur maintains an Information Center right downtown where you can pick up area maps and get information to help you fill your visit. Many of Arthur’s downtown shops also welcome questions and will gladly offer suggestions of more things to do while you are here.
