Arthur's Community Parks
Whether you are looking for a place for a picnic, let the little
ones play on the swings and jungle gyms,
watch
or join a ball game, swim, camp, or just relax ,the Arthur community
park district has plenty of space for you.
Eberhardt Park and Jurgens parks are located on the south side of Arthur and offer acres of relaxation.
Brad-O-Clen, located about 4 miles North of Arthur is situated along the Kaskaskia river and has wooded trails and a group building that can be reserved.
The parks host many group activities during the year including the Moultrie-Douglas County Fair, a monthly craft/flea/antique market, many ball tournaments, Arthur Freedom Celebration and Fireworks, and a large Antique show every March and November.
The parks have a number of pavilions that are available for reservation and often used by families and groups for picnics, reunions and other gatherings.
Finally, there are RV camp sites available with hook ups during most of the year. Located behind the Arthur High School in E. L. Jurgens Park. Seven (7) hookup sites available with electrical and water, plus restroom facilities. No advance reservations, sites are first come first serve.
